Year 9 Mathematics

Our Year 9 Mathematics tutoring program lays a strong foundation for students undertaking the NESA Stage 5 syllabus. The goal is to lay a strong base of concepts and knowledge for young maths students wishing to excel in their senior years.

Year 9 Mathematics Course Overview

Our Year 9 Mathematics tutoring program leads into our Year 10 Mathematics tutoring program which puts students on track for choosing higher scaling levels of mathematics for Year 11, which is part of our long term plan for our students to undertaking more rewarding levels of mathematics to maximise benefit to their HSC and ATAR. The program is designed for students taking the 5.3 stream for year 9 maths at NSW schools, but higher ability 5.2 students may also find this course suitable.

This course is ideal for:

  • Students who are currently in Year 9 wanting to build a strong base in Mathematics

2 hour weekly lessons + 1 hour weekly Workshop Tutorial

Tutoring course materials (concept explanations, summaries, study notes, example questions, worked solutions and exam-style homework) are provided each week in the form of a theory and homework booklet

Tutoring homework is expected to be completed and will be fully marked each week, with comments detailing every point of improvement
