Year 11 English Advanced

Our Year 11 English tutoring program begins at the beginning of Term 1 of each year and runs up to the end of Term 3, with the year 12 HSC English tutoring program commencing in Term 4.

Year 11 English Advanced Course Overview

Our year 11 English tutoring program covers all syllabus requirements and outcomes, with a focus on giving students the skills they need for HSC English Advanced. We build a strong foundation of writing essays, speeches and other formats required by the HSC, coupled with textual analysis skills – the ability to form cohesive arguments that can be used in an exam response.

Each module is covered over an entire term, starting from zero assumed knowledge, and ending with students being ready to answer a Paper 2 style HSC English essay question. We understand the concerns students have with English, often due to the fact that at least 2 units are compulsory for the HSC. We provide students with a systematic approach to the subject, giving them confidence to strive for a band 6 result.

This course is ideal for:

  • Students who are intending to or are doing Year 11 English Advanced
  • Year 11 students wanting a strong foundation in year 12 English
  • Students wanting to improve their English marks and ranks at school
