Our Year 10 Mathematics tutoring program covers all syllabus outcomes and requirements of the NESA Stage 5 syllabus, with the overall goal of giving year 10 students the ability and confidence to take on higher scaling levels of mathematics for years 11 and 12.
Year 10 Mathematics Course Overview
The Year 10 Maths tutoring program is designed for students taking the 5.3 stream for year 10 maths at NSW schools, but higher ability 5.2 students may also find this course suitable if they plan to take on maths for year 11.
This course is ideal for:
- Students who are in the 5.3 stream (or students in the 5.2 stream but are doing well at school); OR
- Students planning on taking up Mathematics (2 unit) and/or Mathematics Extension 1 in year 11
2 hour weekly lessons + 1 hour weekly Workshop Tutorial
Tutoring course materials (concept explanations, summaries, study notes, example questions, worked solutions and exam-style homework) are provided each week in the form of a theory and homework booklet
Tutoring homework is expected to be completed and will be fully marked each week, with comments detailing every point of improvement

Topic Tests administered at the end of each major topic, with marks and vital statistics reported in the End of Term report
